DJing and mixtapes

Music music music. I told ya.
back to projects

A garage punky, 60s beat, rockabilly rumble that was a freebie CD from 93 East, which switched Mother Bar in Shoreditch. Every Tuesday night until 2am. It was wild, and my happy place. I don’t think it’s there any more but it was an institution and I’m proud to be part of it.
20 tunes from around the world packed into 20mins for this guest mix on Jack Dolo’s Uprock show on Red Light Radio in Amsterdam.  Bashment, azonto, crunchy hip hop from four corners of the globe and some tunes I’d completely forgotten that were rocking my world that month.
Before it became Colours Hoxton it was Hoxton Square Bar. Robin, Blue and myself were the Saturday residents, doing a bit of a marathon run from later afternoon to the early hours. To give us a bit of a break  before the nighttime madness came I did some mixes  to  pop on whilst we yammed down dinner. This one is mildly spicy boogie & rocking blues that shifts up to a tease for what unfolds later in the evening.
Another Hoxton Bar bridging mix. This one I did for the bar to play in the daytime too, and without meaning to blow my own trumpet, it’s a nice one. I definately took these things too seriously.
This mix for Monthly Mixtape Club (a nerdy DJ community) is the sort of rag bag I played at Hoxton Bar before hanging my ‘phones. It still brings me joy.
Technically a radio show for a station in LA that Robin had arranged, but I don’t know if was actually played on the station, and I don’t really mind. It really should have become a regular because Robin’s a genius and the vibe clicks.
